Mirror Drama -Anniversary Build-
A downloadable experience for Windows and macOS
Hello
Welcome to the Anni Build (Anniversary Build) of my upcoming game, Mirror Drama.
Unlike the last version, this one is much closer to what I've always envisioned the game to be like. The art style, music, dialogue, and all-around presentation are drastically improved here, at least in my opinion. This version is also a lot longer as it takes place over the course of seven in-game days and averages about 2-3 hours of playtime. There are also plenty of choices and alternate routes which, while mostly not affecting the main story in any significant way (yet), may provide for some slight replay value.
BUG WARNING: There is a weird bug where the volume of the voices are tied to the sound volume and not the actual voice volume. It's weird and stupid and I don't get it, but for now, if you'd like to adjust the volume of the voices, adjust the sound volume instead.
Game Description
Shunta Shiiro was a boy who used to enjoy his life, but then one day suddenly shut himself off from the outside world, effectively becoming a Hikikomori. Several years later, he decides to make an attempt to reintegrate himself back into society. Along the way, he somehow ends up joining a club, a club featuring four girls of various personalities no less.
Join him as he struggles to make choices, make new friends, and ultimately remember what it's like to enjoy life.
Characters
Shunta Shiiro
The Shundere.
Bored and blank, Shunta has spent the past four years as a hikikomori, someone who doesn't leave their room no mater what. Because of this, he's grown quite bored of life and wonders if he'll ever feel excitement in his life ever again. On top of this, Shunta's personality has become bland and stale due to a lack of relationships. This eventually leads him to make a decision; should he go outside where it's exciting and dangerous or should he stay inside where it's safe and comfortable?
Danika Aoki
The Dandere.
Talented yet Timid, Danika is the one who started the Drama Club. Out of everyone, she holds the most passion for the art of theatre and dreams of becoming a Broadway actress. However, her dreams are sidelined by her immense shyness and inability to talk back to anyone. She's a people pleaser, and thus, shutters at the idea of letting anyone down.
Baki Momoko
The Bakadere.
Empty-headed and Energetic, Baki acts as the heart and soul of the club. She practically radiates positive energy, which then passes on to everyone around her. Though she often causes trouble due to her childishness and lack of internal thinking, she'll try her best to make the whole world.
Kurumi Murasaki
The Kuudere.
Cold and crass, Kurumi seems somewhat out of place compared to the others. She often acts like she doesn't care about anything, and will be the first to tell you that. However, her tendency to crack jokes and mess with people says otherwise. When she's not putting up a wall, she's a chill person who just likes to vibe.
Tsuneko Midori
The Tsundere.
Distant and diligent, Tsuneko is the mature one of the group. She takes high priority in her studies, as well as the well being of others, even if she can be a little strict about it. Though she can be quite rude with her words, she ultimately means well and just doesn't know how to properly express it.

Wow, I really enjoyed this game's portrayal of depression/agoraphobia - it was realistic and sympathetic without dragging too much. The animation and art really set the mood well. The cutesy Powerpuff Girls-esque character design combined with the crumbled paper textures and lovely color schemes are atmospheric and charming. I liked seeing how the character gradually starts to improve himself and the way the other characters are receptive to it and encourage it. Overall, it was a fun experience and I look forward to future updates!
