ABBY RAYSHINE

Abby Rayshine (Ab - bee - Ray - shin) is just an ordinary high school girl. Well, except for the fact that she secretly fights ghosts with her psychic powers. One day however, the ghosts come to her and begin haunting her school! Normally she would just exorcise them all, but she can't do that while all her friends are watching, that would be so embarrassing! Help her find items and solve puzzles in order to clear the school so she can kill those dang ghosts in peace.

This game was made for Acerola's Acerola Jam 0. The main theme of the jam was the word "aberration", thus, Abby Rayshine, a girl who is afraid of being seen as an aberration. She also fights apparitions, which isn't the same word but it sounds kinda similar idk.

Also apparently I need a Github version of this game so here you go.

CHARACTERS

Abby Rayshine

a anxiety ridden girl who is prone to anger due to her nature as a psychic. She comes from a long line of ghost hunters, which is, in her words, "so lame". Because of this, she has attempted to keep her powers hidden from her peers, though she just can't help but exorcise a ghost whenever she comes across one. Good thing only she and her weird family can see ghosts.

Amy Stake

Abby's best friend for life, though she is a bit of an empty-headed girl. Though she has witness Abby's escapades numerous times, she always shrugs it off as Abby having a panic attack (which isn't entirely incorrect). 

Brickford Walle

Brickford is the coolest kid in school, at least in his opinion. He wears shades indoors and gets detention on purpose, all in the name of fighting back against the system. He listens to a lot of Radio Head.

Justin Case

The classic nerd of the school, Justin is a guy who just LOVES to learn (obnoxiously). He'll often stand near other groups of students and wait for them to talk about something remotely related to math or science so he can interject with a fun fact. He's also running for class president, I hope he wins.

Arby Gene Baker

Much like Justin, Arby is an unapologetic nerd. However, his interests align more with indie games and niche SoundCloud artists. When he isn't socially reclusive, he'll try to share his favorite video game soundtracks with people, though he is often ignored as the types of videos games that he likes are not very mainstream, leaving him to feel like he is all alone in the world. What a dork.

Mike Hawkinsbig

Mike is the most handsome, beautiful, pretty, gorgeous, charismatic, enchanting, fascinating, interesting, attractive, alluring, charming, appealing, exquisite, radiant, and stunning guy in the whole world. Man, I wish I was that guy.

 Ophelia Pane

She, uh, I didn't really think much about this character I don't have anything funny to say.

Emma Roid

The captain of the cheerleading squad. She is also the only member of the cheerleading squad. Nobody likes her.

Lon Moore

Isn't in the game.
